Today, Llandudno is an exciting place that is
both lively and beautiful with two sandy beaches sitting beneath the towering
limestone headland of the Great Orme Countryside Park.
For the most breathtaking views, reach the 679
foot summit by the longest cable operated tramway in Britain and enjoy
the Summit Complex with its bar and restaurant. You can visit the 4000
year old copper mines and explore underground passages leading to a Bronze
Age cavern. On the lower slopes is Ski Llandudno with an artificial ski
slope and toboggan run.
Opened
in 1994, the 1,500 seat North Wales Theatre on Llandudno’s
promenade has quickly established itself as one of the leading theatres
in the UK, and has a variety of top quality entertainment throughout
the year.
Llandudno is the resort where the real
Alice in Wonderland (Alice
Liddell) spent her childhood summers. Visit the Alice in Wonderland
Centre and venture down the rabbit hole to relive her adventures.
In addition to being North Wales’ premier holiday destination,
Llandudno is also a main retail centre. Famous high street stores
